polish consulate
third year is a single year long project which aims to produce a strategic proposal for the regeneration of a large urban space set within the industrial quarter of dundee. the final outcome for the year was an integrated and detailed design of a consulate and cultural centre for the polish community in eastern scotland. traces of dundee's industrial past and the adjacency of the dundee mosque creates cultural and geometric counterpoints which challenged the designer to consider how diverse traditions and religions can present themselves and coexist within a city. -
